Sting has office space at several locations across Stockholm, with their main location at the Digital Health Hub H2 in downtown Stockholm City – where you’ll find many Smart Care/Digital Health companies. There are several relevant partners connected to this Hub, for example SLL (Stockholm County Council), investors, Pharma companies, real estate companies, etc. One of the newest and most technologically focused hospitals in Europe, Karolinska Hospital, is just a couple of minutes away from the Hub and offers a place for Smart Care solutions testing. Highly renowned universities are located in Stockholm, who produce a large number of high-skilled graduates from the Karolinska Institute, Stockholm University and Royal College of Technician (KTH) – the latter of which forms part of the Sting ownership.
As well as access to working spaces, conference rooms and access to experienced business coaches, Sting has a great network of resource providers like IPR experts, legal experts, auditors and UX experts. Sting has also experts in several areas, with special competence in e-trading, IT, SEO, etc. Sting also has a small team working with HR recruiters to seek out new talent for building successful start-ups.
Sting has a great network of experts available in legal, auditing, IPR, product development, contract manufacturers, and investors. We also have our own Business Angels Network which look to invest in upcoming companies within our accelerator. Sting also has a small investment fund, Propel Capital, that consists of money from business angels and that can make an investment of €30,000 in Sting companies during their first 6 months in the incubator. We also benefit from close collaboration with other organisations, such as Sthlm Digital Care, that can help open doors to customers and key players in the health care, home care and elderly care communities in the Stockholm region to test new innovation in a real environment.
Close collaboration with KTH (Royal College of Technicians) in Stockholm and research institute RISE also offers highly competent human resource potential. Sting is financed by the City of Stockholm, KTH and Stockholm County Council which itself is a strong network and provides access to a range of international investors.
Sting is the biggest company incubator/accelerator in Sweden working with 30-35 new companies every year in ICT, Cleantech, medtech/Digital health, internet/media and gaming. We have 4 locations in Stockholm and have been operational since 2002. Sting has worked with more than 200 companies since its establishment.
